Yep, James Franco utilises a push up program to get ripped for movie roles. Most recently James Franco shared his workout routine and go to diet to get in shape for roles that require him to be ripped such as ‘Why Him’, ‘The Disaster Artist’,‘Goat’ and ‘The Deuce’.

Talking about his transformation workout routine to Men’s Journal James Franco said:

The only workout I did was push ups and sit ups. I would do about 300 push ups and 300 sit ups every single day. I would do them in my trailer when we were filming“.

James Franco Diet

James Franco stated along with his push up routine that his diet consisted of high protein salads. In an interview with Men’s Journal he said:

“For about a year and half I ate nothing but salad for both lunch and dinner. I would usually get one from Whole Foods and then put a protein on top like tofu”.

“I ate a lot of salads. Like, a year and a half of salads for lunch and dinner”.
