Bradley Cooper Workout

Bradley Cooper underwent a rigorous training regimen to prepare for his role as Chris Kyle in the film ‘American Sniper‘. Bradley Cooper teamed up with celebrity trainer Jason Walsh to achieve the physical transformation. The training focused on building muscle mass, strength, and developing the specific skills needed to portray a Navy Seal sniper. 1. Strength Training:
    • Bradley Cooper‘s workouts were all based around intensive strength training routines to build overall muscle mass and size. This included compound exercises like deadlifts, squats, bench presses, and overhead military presses.
  2. Navy SEAL Conditioning:
    • Military style conditioning drills, including bodyweight exercises, calisthenics, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT).
  3. Cardiovascular Endurance:
    • Cardiovascular fitness is crucial for overall stamina. Running and swimming were included.
  4. Functional Fitness:
    • Functional fitness exercises that mimic the physical demands of military operations were trained so Bradley Cooper didn’t just look like a Navy Seal, he moved like one too!
  5. Flexibility and Mobility Work:
    • Sniper roles often require maintaining a steady position for extended periods. Bradley Cooper likely incorporated flexibility and mobility exercises to enhance his ability to hold positions for prolonged periods during the film shoot.
  6. Nutrition:
    • Bradley Cooper would been in a calorie surplus, eating more than maintenance in order to support muscle development, overall physical performance and put on the size needed for the role.
  7. Weighted Vest Workouts:
    • Navy Seals often train with weighted vests to simulate the added weight of their equipment.

Bradley Cooper Diet

As Bradley Cooper’s trainer Jason Walsh said, “he didn’t need to be ripped, he needed to get big“! To do this, Bradley Cooper was in a calorie surplus and went on a traditional bodybuilding and powerlifting ‘bulk’ adding as much muscle, strength and overall size as quick as possible!
